French house perfumer Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud’s book explores how flowers are grown, the growing seasons and techniques used to harvest the flowers, as well as how essential oils are extracted, distilled and synthesized to create new and complex fragrances. perfumes.

Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud traveled to three continents and collaborated with journalist and writer Lionel Paillès and illustrator Aurore de la Morinerie for the 338-page book, inspired by a love of raw materials and nature.
