Actor John Cusack hit back after the non-profit watchdog group StopAntisemitism named him “anti-Semite of the week” in a post on X.

“Wow! A list full of lies,” replied the “Say Anything” star.

The group’s post included a photo of Cusack and the caption: “Antisemite of the week”.

In the caption, the group accused him of denying the mass rapes that occurred on October 7, calling Hamas a “charity” and claiming that the Israeli government funds Hamas.

In its post, the group also referred to the actor’s agency, asking why they “represent this bigot,” and ended up with a link to the actor’s archives and posts.

In a separate response, Cusack accused the organization, along with the International Legal Forum, of “weaponize racism against peace activists.”

“This is defamation. I want to know if the people who follow them know this and if they do, do they condone this despicable behaviour?’the actor wrote.

Responding to another X user who defended him as not being anti-Semitic, Cusack called his critics’ accusations slanderous.
