Meryl Streep, known for her illustrious 53-year career as an actress, has a strong dislike for one of her most recognized roles. This is about her role as Miranda Priestly in the film “The Devil Wears Prada”. The actress’ disdain, as “Marca” writes, stems from her adoption of method acting, a technique she rarely uses, in which she fully embodies her character even off-camera.

Applying this method led the actress to distance herself from her co-stars, including Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt, mirroring her character’s detachment.

“When I met her she hugged me”Hathaway said on “The Graham Norton Show.”

“And I said to her, ‘Oh my God, we’re going to have such a good time in this movie. And then she said, ‘Oh honey, this is the last time I’m being nice to you.’

Then she went to her trailer and Ice Queen came out and that was really the last time I saw Meryl for months, until we were promoting the movie.”
