Sofia Vergara: The luxury residence in Los Angeles

Sofia Vergara who stars in the new Netflix series “Griselda Blanco” is on the cover of Architectural Digest with the theme “Hollywood at Home”.

The popular actress “opened” her new home to the magazine, which secured unique photos from its interior.

The sexy actress lives in Beverly Park, Los Angeles like many other Hollywood stars. However, as she tells the magazine, she wanted to make sure her friends could feel comfortable when they visited her home. “I’m not afraid to spend money, but it has to be for something practical, not just things that are there to look pretty, I didn’t want furniture that’s so precious and my friends will be afraid to… sit on it.”

Vergara’s luxurious residence could not be without elements with a Colombian flair, such as baroque armchairs in the living room, a Spanish chandelier and a textured floral detail on the ceiling of the dining room. While the color palette of the house is generally neutral and gives a calm as it does not like “crazy colors”.

Lots of antiques

In order to modernize her new home, Vergara brought in designer Ohara Davies-Gaetano. “Sophia wanted a house that was fresh, clean and bright, with lots of lovely antiques that add warmth to the architecture,” he said.

Interiors are accented, however, with plants and greenery in many rooms — a lively design choice that matches and accentuates the property’s expansive grounds, stucco pool, and olive trees.

The actress of course couldn’t do without a dressing room for her shoes, clothes and jewelry and it seems she has a big weakness for platforms.

“My friends from Colombia find any excuse to visit me,” Vergara said.

“There’s something in here that makes visitors want to stay. Is special. “I still wake up every day unable to believe that this is my life,” the actress said
