“Harry did not spend the night in a royal residence, he is effectively homeless in the UK after being evicted from Frogmore House last year, and it is believed he may have stayed in a luxury hotel,” the report said.
Prince Harry “would welcome” a reunion with his brother William, but instead “spent the night in a London hotel”, the Daily Mail claimed on Wednesday.
Although Harry and William do not plan to meet during the Duke of Sussex’s stay in London, it is understood that their mutual friend Mark Dyer – who mentored the boys after Diana’s death – could act as a bridge between the brothers, according to a source cited by the British tabloid.
William, now 41, chooses to focus to the health of his wife, Kate, who is recovering from abdominal surgery taking extended leave from public duties until after Easter.
“Harry did not spend the night in a royal residence, he is effectively homeless in the UK after being evicted from Frogmore House last year, and it is believed he may have stayed in a luxury hotel,” the report said.
However, Harry is not expected to remain in London for long. He is soon to return home to Montecito, California, where he lives with his wife Megan and their two children.
Sources close to the 39-year-old Duke of Sussex said that he would “welcome” the opportunity to meet his brother, with one of the sources adding: “The main reason for the Duke’s trip to the UK was to visit his father. If there was an opportunity for him to see the Prince of Wales, then the Duke would have gladly accepted it.’
According to another Mail report, William he does not intend to meet with his brother.
