App driver Davi, 21, surpassed the number of Instagram followers of singer Rodriguinho, 45. The Bahian started the program with just 52 followers and has now reached the mark of 4.2 million fans. São Paulo currently has 4.1 million.
The two built a rivalry on BBB 24 in the first week of the reality show, right after the first vote.
Davi voted for Rodriguinho with the argument that he thought the singer was lost in the game, driven by emotion and weak in strategy. The justification bothered the pagodeiro, who uses the speech of having a 35-year career and, therefore, says he knows what he does.
The dispute between the two has at least three layers of coincidence. In the first, both are dark black men, a social segment that has never won the BBB.
The second curiosity is that the driver is the most followed participant among pulls and popcorn, those who start out anonymous in the reality show. On the other hand, the pagodeiro is the box – reserved seats for celebrities – least followed among the four remaining celebrities. Yasmin Brunet has 6.7 million, MC Bin Laden, 5.1 million and Wanessa Camargo, 4.5 million.
The third layer also places them on opposite sides. The two are at the extreme of the cast’s age range, Davi is the youngest of them all and Rodriguinho is the oldest.
There is also a complicated relationship between the two that worries the reality audience. The singer even threatened the driver’s physical integrity a few times. To see if the number of followers will influence the rivalry inside and outside the program.
