Márcio Victor, lead singer of the band Psirico, seems to have disliked Baby do Brasil’s speech at Carnival, in which she prophesied the apocalypse and ended up being cut off by Ivete Sangalo. “Tell Baby from Brazil to take some medicine, see,” said Victor during a parade on the Campo Grande circuit, this Sunday afternoon (11), in Salvador.
“Baby from Brazil needs to take some medicine. The apocalypse won’t come here. God has blessed the people,” he said. He then called on believers to express their faith: “Whoever believes in God raises his hand.”
Victor’s revolt came after the singer gave a speech about the end of times amid the revelry in Salvador. In the early hours of this Sunday, Baby do Brasil said that “the rapture [segundo cristãos, é o movimento que será feito por Jesus para levar os escolhidos para o paraíso] everything has to happen in five to ten years.”
Ivete tried to intervene in the preaching saying that “there is no right apocalypse”. The Bahian singer hinted that her hit “Macetando”, made together with Ludmilla, was next on the list. But Baby from Brazil asked for “Little Eva”.
“I’m going to sing Macetando, because God is sending Macetando, right? It’s Jesus’ Macetando”, said Ivete.
