“Paravasis”, the Theatrical Analogy of the SNFCC, returns to the Lighthouse of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) for the fifth year. Three directors of the new generation deal with three theatrical texts-stations that focus on motherhood and human emotional development, as it is inextricably linked to the primary experience.
The premiere will take place in February with the masterpiece of Eugene O’Neill “Mourning fits Electra” (Part A ‘- The Return) adapted and directed by Georgia Mavragani.
They are followed by “Father” by August Strindberg directed by Maria Maganari and “Alkistis” by Euripides directed by Elena Mavridou.
On Sunday, February 20, at 17.00, at the Lighthouse of the SNFCC, the first part – “The Return” – from the masterpiece of Eugene O’Neill, “Mourning fits Electra” is presented in the important translation by Eric Belier and adapted and directed of Georgia Mavragani. Eight actors and a musician will unfold the story of Mannon’s home. Using microphones, sounds and the emergence of O’Neill’s wonderful stage instructions, this eight-member “Dance” will narrate – and at times represent – the sharp words of the American author, like a story known from ancient times.
