The singers from the Pagu block, who paraded this Tuesday (13) in Praça da República, in the center of São Paulo, invoked the new Ivete Sangalo meme that took over Carnival 2024.
“Let’s hack the Apocalypse!” shouted the singers from the top of the Pagu electric trio to a crowd in República, right before singing their setlist made up of hits by Rita Lee, Alcione and Elza Soares.
The phrase was said by Ivete Sangalo at the Salvador Carnival, in response to Baby do Brasil, who stated, in the middle of the festivities in the capital of Bahia, that the end of times will not take more than five or ten years, scaring the revelers who gathered to see Ivete’s trio. In an attempt to save the “bad vibes” moment, Ivete called on the crowd to “cheat the apocalypse”.
In the Agora Vai block, which paraded in Campos Elíseos, in the center of São Paulo, also this Tuesday (13), the order coming from the top of the electric trio was also to devise the apocalypse.
Among the revelers, even a costume inspired by Baby do Brasil’s prophecy was a hit. The report caught a couple fleeing the end of times in the “last spaceship”, as well as costumes with references to the dialogue between Ivete and Baby.
