Incidents with 12 injuries occurred on Tuesday in a demonstration of about 200 activists outside the offices and studios of Italian public broadcaster Rai in Naples.

The police used a glove when protesters tried to hang banners at the local entrance of Italian television. Seven protesters and five police officers were injured. Their condition is not considered alarming.

The participants in the mobilization underlined that they are “against Rai’s attitude of censorship, regarding the genocide in Gaza” and against the stance taken by Italian public television at the recent Sanremo song festival, where two participants called for an “immediate ceasefire” and “an end to the genocide”, prompting an immediate reaction from Israel’s ambassador to Italy.
