Just one question was enough to make Victoria Beckham go red with panic. The star’s reaction came when she was asked if she was ready to become a grandmother during a recent interview with Vogue.

“Jesus. What?! Wow. Wait,” she replied, visibly upset. “I don’t think it’s happening yet, unless you know something I don’t, it’s not happening yet.”

The 49-year-old designer’s eldest son with husband David Beckham, Brooklyn, has been married to actress Nicola Peltz since April 2022.

Months after their glittering wedding, Brooklyn, now 24, admitted he wants to have 10 children with his wife.

“I’ve always wanted to be a new dad,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “I would love to start a family soon, but whenever my wife is ready.”

As Brooklyn and Peltz, 29, are ready to enter this next stage of their lives, Victoria has already prepared her suggestions for what she’d like to be called.

“The last time I was with Anna Wintour I said, ‘Anna, what are your grandchildren’s names?’ And he said to me, “Anna.” And I was telling myself that it’s very elegant, so maybe I’ll go with that option.”

“But it’s not happening yet,” he added. “But, you know, hopefully one day if I’m blessed it will happen and then that would be great. But we’re not there yet!”

She also opened up about what it’s like to be Peltz’s mother-in-law, with whom she was once rumored to have feuded during Brooklyn and Peltz’s marriage.
“Nicola is wonderful and I think she is so talented. She is so passionate about what she does,” he said. “And she and Brooklyn make each other very happy, and that’s great to see.”

“As a mother,” she continued, “all you want is to see your children happy, right? And that’s all.”
On Thursday, the “Lola” star said the same about Victoria in her interview with Byrdie.

“I love her, and she’s an incredible, successful woman,” he said.
“How lucky am I to ask her for advice? I’m blessed!”
