‘I’ve always been firm with women’, says Thiago Martins, who will be a clumsy heartthrob in ‘Família É Tudo’

One of the protagonists of the next 7pm soap opera, “Família É Tudo”, on Globo, Thiago Martins says he is only lending his body to Júpiter, he is so distant from the character in Daniel Ortiz’s plot.

“Jupiter is a very egocentric, vain guy and thinks he’s the heartthrob, the handsome guy. We take these stereotypes and turn them into a big joke”, recognizes the actor.

Having been away from television for three years (his last work was on “Amor de Mãe”), he recognizes that the possibility of doing a comedy seduced him into accepting the invitation from the soap opera’s directors.

“It’s been nice coming to record. The soap opera is light, everything flows and Jupiter entertains me. I like playing good-hearted guys and he is, despite being clumsy with women”, the actor laughs. “Me? No. I’ve always been firm with women.”

At 35 years old, Thiago Martins states that he is not a man who makes plans. He’s also in no rush. “Things always fall into place”, he adds.

Because of the recordings of “Família É Tudo”, he will take a break from his concert schedule, but his singing career will continue. “I can no longer see myself just acting or just singing. I see myself as a Brazilian artist”, says Thiago, who still dreams of being a father, getting married and having children. “Yes. Of course I have that dream. I just need to find the right person.”
