She will lead her listeners on jazz roads – but not only the State Orchestra of Athens at the concert on Friday, March 1, at the Megaron Musikis, as the centerpiece will be the famous “Rhapsody in Blue” by George Gershwin, or ours “Blue Rhapsody”, which will be performed by the distinguished pianist Haris Dimaras. Gershwin’s iconic work sets the tone for the concert program, which has the title “Some prefer it blue”complemented by the expressionist “Night of Annihilation” by Arnold Seinberg and “An Unanswered Question” by pioneer Charles Ives.

Also, in the same program, KOA, wanting to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Édouard Lalo, performs his famous “Spanish symphony”, with soloist Danae Papamathaiou-Matske, one of the most talented violinists of her generation. The orchestra, in these journeys in contemporary music, will be conducted by the internationally recognized chief musician Cornelios Michaelidis.
