Actress Claudia Raia, 55, was on the Tete a Théo channel, by actor Theodoro Cochrane, and, in an interview, recalled her relationship with presenter Jô Soares, 84, which lasted from 1984 to 1986. The artist revealed that it was a blow when the comedian decided to end the relationship.
“I was in love with him and I got a little screwed up. I didn’t get screwed, because it was amazing. But he ended the relationship with me, and I got really bad”, he said. The actress said that the two started to get close when she worked on the Viva o Gordo program (1981–1987).
Raia says she had been at work for about five months, and Jô was always kind to her. “Until one day he saw a mole on my leg, this story is absurd, and he said: ‘What is this mole?’. I said: ‘It’s a mole, I love my mole’. He said: ‘It’s a mole, I love my mole’. ‘You have to take it off,'” he said.
The artist says that the mark on her skin was, in fact, a cancerous melanoma and that Jô took her to see Dráuzio Varella to have the mole removed. “He really saved me. From there, we started a friendship relationship”, she commented to the presenter’s son Marília Gabriela.
At the time, the actress was dating Raul Gazolla, 66, and said she did not expect to fall in love with Jô. “[Ele] he was a spectacular man. I didn’t even realize that. I was very young, in love with a man aesthetically outside the standards I was used to, “she added.
For the artist, one of the main reasons for the end of the relationship was the big age difference between the two. “He was 30 years older than me. I was younger than his son. It was bizarre,” she recalls in the interview. At the time of dating, Raia was 17 years old.
