The next projects of the tireless Sir Elton John
Elton John’s ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road’ tour may have ended last year after five years of 330 shows around the world, but the iconic English singer, songwriter and pianist is still at work, even preparing for the big Oscar Party.
She and her husband, David Furnish, will co-host the 32nd Annual Oscars Party for the Elton John AIDS Foundation at West Hollywood Park.

“We feel like we can end AIDS by 2030, but we can’t take our foot off the gas,” Furnish said.
Elton John and David Furnish are joined by Neil Patrick Harris, David Burtka and Tiffany Haddish as hosts of the Oscar party this year.
R&B-soul-rock trio Gabriels will perform at the event. Elton John has been a supporter of the group since he was introduced to their music a few years ago. In June, Elton John invited Gabriels singer Jacob Lusk to perform ‘Are You Ready for Love’ with him at the Glastonbury Festival.
At the party, Elton John will sing a song or two with the band.
“Elton will be playing with them,” Furnish said. “It’s hard to keep him off the stage.”
Sir Elton John’s next projects
“Elton is Working,” his husband and manager, David Furnish, told Variety. “I don’t think you’ll have to wait long for new music. I can’t say when, but he’s making real progress. It was important for him when the tour was over to have a breather and a break. But he’s always said he’s retiring from touring, but not retiring from work,” he explained.
Elton John, who turns 77 on March 25, is physically fitter than he has been in years after struggling with arthritis. He had surgery on one knee earlier this year and will have surgery on the other in the spring.
Elton John’s plans include two stage musicals this year, “The Devil Wears Prada” in London and “Tammy Faye,” which will open on Broadway.
It was recently announced that Tony nominee Vanessa Williams will star in the musical Prada as Miranda Priestly, the role played by Meryl Streep in the film adaptation of the best-selling novel.
