Luana Piovani becomes the target of mockery on a Portuguese podcast

Luana Piovani became the target of mockery on a Portuguese podcast this weekend. All because of some comments that the Brazilian made about her experiences in Portugal, where she has lived since 2019, to presenters Boo Unzueta and Tata Estaniecki.

The actress said that once when ordering a pizza at a restaurant she asked the waiter if the large size would come with six or eight pieces. “He replied that it depended on how many pieces he had to cut,” said Luana, laughing in Poddelas’ studio.

But on the Portuguese program Extremamente Nasagradável, a comedy show on the attraction As Três da Manhã, presenter Joana Marques and two other guests Inês Lopes Gonçalves and Ana Galvão, didn’t find the story so funny. “But it’s logical. You’re right. It could be 12 (pieces) or two”, commented a guest.

Joana continued to comment on Piovani’s “joke” and asked listeners’ attention for a “most surprising revelation of the day” by highlighting another of Luana’s experiences. “There is no soda in Portugal. It doesn’t exist, no one drinks it. You arrive at the restaurant and there isn’t a soda on the table. It’s water and wine,” said the Brazilian.

The presenter then did not forgive Luana. “Because we are a people who suffer a lot from the absence of carbonated drinks in our lives, I ordered something from abroad for my friends that, perhaps, you have never seen. Are you ready?”, and opens a can of refrigerator. The guests react with surprise and say. “It makes a wonderful sound, I’ve never heard it before”, they joke.

Finally, Joana ended the program with an analogy from the film “The Gods Must Be Crazy” (1980), by director Jamie Uys. “For Luana Piovani, the Portuguese are like the indigenous people in the film ‘The Gods Must Be Crazy’. A bottle of Coca-Cola falls from the sky, and we have no idea what that strange object is,” she added.
