The ‘Abba: One Week in Brighton’ exhibition opens on March 28 and runs until August 4
Exhibition to celebrate 50 years of Abba is to be inaugurated in the city in which the band won him Eurovision Song Contest.
The Swedish group began a highly successful career in Brighton, England, at the Brighton Dome on April 6, 1974 when they came first in the Competition singing ‘Waterloo’.
The ‘Abba: One Week in Brighton’ exhibition at Brighton Museum aims to “relive the excitement of the week that shot the band to fame”.

Personal stories of those found there, props, memorabilia and photographs will be featured in the exhibition, a Museum spokesman told the BBC.
Exhibits include a drum set found for the band at the last minute and a feather from final presenter Katie Boyle’s evening gown.
The 1974 Eurovision Song Contest was a culturally significant moment and it’s great to collectively celebrate the memories of Abba’s win and the role Brighton played, said exhibition curator Jody East.
