Angelina Jolie was not at the Oscar ceremonybut she designed a gorgeous gown for the awards red carpet.
The star, who launched her own clothing line called “Atelier Jolie” in 2023 he created an A-line silk dress for Suleika Zawad, who appears in the documentary “American Symphony” with her husband, Grammy-winning singer John Baptiste.
It is the first time that one of Jolie’s creations has been worn on the red carpet.
It is made from 100% sustainable and vintage silk and features a hand-drawn sketch on the back. Created in collaboration with American artist Chaz Guest, it depicts Batiste conducting an orchestra.
It’s noted that “American Symphony,” directed by Matthew Heineman, focuses on the couple’s relationship while navigating Suleika’s leukemia diagnosis.
“Chaz and I have known each other for years, and I knew he would approach it with the dedication and care he needed to feel beautiful,” the famous actress told Vogue, explaining that she “wanted a look inspired by Suleika’s creativity and love.”
“She’s a painter so it felt right to use her dress as a canvas,” Jolie added
