“The wine map of Attica reflects its history, culture and course in the future” said the Regional Governor of Attica and added: “For us, the strengthening of wine tourism – one of the most dynamically growing forms of thematic tourism – is a high priority, as it contributes to the economic development of Attica and the whole country, it promotes innovation and the adoption of good practices, while it creates new jobs with satisfactory wages and perspective”.
Through the Region’s relevant program for the promotion and international promotion of its wine products, seven wineries from Attica participate in this year’s event, with the Region of Attica subsidizing 80% of the cost of their participation.
Mr. Hardalias toured the Exhibition premises, visited the Greek stand and talked with the exhibitors, making special mention of the added value of the Greek vineyard and the multifaceted development benefits of wine production in Attica. “Ancient varieties, which define the wine tradition of the country, are cultivated in the modern Attic vineyard with the most sophisticated methods, by impeccable professionals who place Greek winemaking in the top positions of the world market, giving another advantage to the famous tourist product of our Region, offering the visitor unique taste experiences that remain indelible in his memory, said the governor of Attica. And he underlined: “We have a strong will to be a constant helper in the effort of our wine producers, making use of all available financial tools, in order to support their business activity and offer them the extroversion their work deserves. This is why we are in Dusseldorf, at Europe’s most dynamic wine exhibition, ProWein 2024. For three days, our winemakers will have the opportunity to promote their products to representatives of the international market, exchange know-how with leading professionals of the industry and to promote the modern Greek wine industry in the best way to the whole world”.
