What will be his next step? Christopher Nolan following his seven-award triumph “Oppenheimer” at this year’s Oscars?

According to Variety, there are sources talking about a remake of the old ’60s mystery TV series “The Prisoner,” created and starring Patrick McGowan, which Nolan had considered since 2009.

But that thought disappeared from his agenda that same year, when AMC released the six-episode miniseries and remake version of “The Prisoner” starring Jim Cavitchell alongside Ian McKellen and Ruth Wilson.

There are also reports, according to the publication, that he will begin writing a new script now that the film awards season is over.

It is noted that the blockbuster film, starring Cillian Murphy as atomic bomb creator J Robert Oppenheimer, collected an impressive $958 million, while the weekend will be shown again in about 1,000 American theaters among others.

This is expected to push the film’s final tally past the $1 billion mark, adding an extra bonus for the famed director.
