Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie still fighting over their French winery. The dispute is ‘back’ in court to deal with the technical aspects of the matter as the former couple battle over their property Château Miraval.

Pitt and Jolie were married for two years before the actress filed for divorce in 2016, effectively ending their 12-year relationship.

The former couple bought a majority stake in Château Miraval in 2008 and spent time at the home throughout their relationship.

Jolie sought to sell her company, Nouvel, to Tenute Del Mondo, a subsidiary of the Stoli group, in 2021, effectively transferring 50% of her ownership to Miraval. Pete “fought” this sale, claiming that the move breached the contract between the two.

“Jolie pursued and then consummated the purported sale in secret, intentionally keeping Pitt in the dark and knowingly violating his contractual rights.”according to Fox News.

Pitt is suing Jolie for breach of that agreement. The actor is asking for damages and for the sale of Jolie’s share to be declared “void”. The actor also accused the company, to which Jolie sold the property, of a “hostile takeover” of Miraval.

“Since claiming to have acquired Jolie’s stake in Miraval, Shefler has launched a hostile takeover of the wine business, destabilizing Miraval’s operations and seeking access to its confidential and proprietary information for the benefit of his rival business.”according to court documents.

Jolie’s company, Nouvel, claimed Pitt was the “mastermind of a vengeful campaign to ‘loot’ the profitable business since she first filed for divorce in 2016.”

Nouvel accused the actor of “hijacking” Château Miraval and “wasting” the company’s assets on unnecessary renovation projects, including the $1 million renovation of the pool.
