Oscar-winning American actress, Regina Kingguest on the show “Good Morning America” he stated to Robin Roberts that he is “another man” after her son’s death.

It is noted that in January 2022 the actress’ only child, Ian Alexander Jr, committed suicide a few days after his 26th birthday. He was a musician and DJ while often accompanying her on the red carpet, reports the Guardian.

“I am a different person now than I was on January 19. Grief is a journey”King said in her first interview since his death.

“I also realize that mourning is love, which has nowhere to go.”

As he mentioned, he respects his choice.

“I understand that he didn’t want to be here anymore. That’s hard for other people to accept because they haven’t lived our story.”

However, she admitted that she is “so angry with God”. “Why put this burden on Ian? “Of all the things we’ve been through, the treatments, the doctors, the schedules, Ian would say, ‘I’m tired of talking, Mom.'”

Two years after his death, King says she is struggling with the loss. “You still wonder what I could have done to prevent this from happening. I know I share this sadness, but no one else is Ian’s mom. Only me. She is mine and she will never leave. He will always be with me.”

The actress has dedicated the upcoming biopic to her son, in which she serves as a producer and stars as Shirley Chisholm, the first black woman ever elected to the US Congress. The movie “Shirley” is expected to premiere on Netflix on March 22.
