Bon Jovi have announced their new album ‘Forever’ and shared a brand new song, titled “Legendary”.

Directed by Dano Cerny, the accompanying video for “Legendary” begins with the band in a recording studio that transforms into a meadow in space, from which Bon Jovi continue to perform the track.

Speaking about the song in an interview with Ultimate Classic Rock, Bon Jovi revealed that the song is a tribute to his wife. “Brown Eyed Girl, which of course is a Van Morrison influence, but not in this case. She is my wife”he explains. “They were faithfully there throughout this process: ‘And the brown-eyed girl/ She believes in me/ Legendary.’ There it is. This is who and what I am at 62 years old”.

“Legendary” is the first single to be released from Bon Jovi’s 16th studio album, Forever, which will be released on June 7 via EMI.

The LP marks their first album release in four years and the first to be released after the band’s frontman’s vocal intervention. Speaking about the making of “Forever” in a press release, the singer shared: “This record is a return to joy. From the writing, to the recording process, this is a turn up the volume, feel good Bon Jovi record”.
