Sting returns to the Conservatory of Herod of Atticus cfor a captivating concert on Friday 5 July as part of the Athens Epidaurus Festival, in the shadow of the Acropolis.

Sting, accompanied by an electric rock band, is set to deliver a spirited and dynamic performance, performing his best-loved songs throughout his successful career both as a member of the Police and as a solo artist.

The setlist will include timeless and now classic songs such as ‘Fields of Gold’, ‘Roxanne’, ‘Every Breath You Take’, ‘Message in a Bottle’, among many more of his iconic songs. Sting’s recent performances have been hailed as “masterclasses” by The Times (UK), with him being described as “great” by The Guardian for his wonderful pop persona.

One of the world’s most distinctive solo artists, The Police frontman Sting has received an additional 11 Grammy Awards, two Brits, a Golden Globe, an Emmy, four Oscar nominations, one TONY nomination, and has sold more than 100 million albums both with the Police and as a solo artist. He is a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame and has received honors from the Kennedy Center, as well as honorary Doctorates of Music from Northumbria University (1992), Berklee College of Music (1994), Newcastle University (2006) and the University Brown (2018).

In 2019 he released the album My Songs, featuring modern interpretations of his most famous hits, followed by a world tour and a successful run of shows in Las Vegas. His latest album, The Bridge, showcases the complexity and variety of his creative path, representing various phases and styles from across his unparalleled career. Sting recently produced Shaggy’s album, Com Fly Wid Mi, where the iconic reggae artist covers Sinatra’s songs over a reggae beat and was awarded a Grammy nomination.

Last year, Sting became a partner of the Ivors Academy – the highest honor available to those who have reshaped and redefined the art and technique of music creation, while his song ‘Every Breath You Take’ was added to Spotify’s ‘Billions Club’, having amassed over 1 billion streams on the platform, with the corresponding music video surpassing 1 billion streams on YouTube.
