An essential figure on TV in recent years, Juliana Paes turns 45; see curiosities

Juliana Paes has been Maya, Jaqueline Joy, Gabriela, Bibi Perigosa and Dona Flor, among many others, since she first appeared as an extra on “Malhação” (Globo), at the end of the 1990s. After attracting attention as the Ritinha from “Laços de Família” (2000), the actress changed roles and gained more and more prominence until she became a constant — and unavoidable — presence on our television in the last quarter of a century. This Tuesday (26), she turns 45 years old.

Even after the end of her fixed contract with Globo, in 2022, Juliana continues to stand out with strong female characters. It was her that the network remembered when it needed someone to become a jaguar like Maria Marruá from “Pantanal” or to reinterpret the role of the brothel owner Jacutinga, played by Fernanda Montenegro in the original version of “Renascer”. Married for 16 years and mother of two children (Pedro, 11, and Antônio, 9), the actress also appears on social media to promote products, her own ventures and social projects.
