Favorite characters will now appear in a range of consumer products.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced a worldwide deal with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products (WBDGCP) which allows favorite ‘Looney Tunes’ characters to appear in a collection of official IOC-licensed products.
“The agreement is part of the IOC’s global licensing program – a direct result of the Olympic Agenda 2020+5 – which aims to strengthen and promote the Olympic brand, not only during the Olympic Games, but also between the Games“, says the IOC.
Beloved characters such as Bugs Bunny, Lola Bunny, Daffy Duck, Wile E. Coyote and Tweety will now appear in a range of consumer products.
“Through the partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, the timeless charm of the Looney Tunes characters will add to our celebration of the Olympic values: the power of sport, the power to create friendships, foster respect and bring the world together in the pursuit of excellence“, said the IOC’s Director of Television and Marketing Services, Anne-Sophie Boumar.
Universally beloved Looney Tunes characters such as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Wile E. Coyote and Tweety will now be part of The Olympic Collection of apparel, toys, bags, stationery items and sports equipment.
