In 2015, Cezar Lima from Paraná won BBB 15 head to head. He was the protagonist, he pulled some strings, but outside the house, he admitted something that made a lot of people feel like idiots: he admitted that he created a character to win the Globo reality show.
Cezar studied the profile of the program’s winners, and recognized that he reinforced “his humble side”, in interviews he gave, so that the public felt sorry for him. In addition to, of course, always trying to create a VT to appear in the open TV edition.
Almost ten years later, history seems to be repeating itself. Beatriz Brás, the “Brazil of Brazil”, clearly does the same thing. But in an absolutely unbelievable way, with all the negative adjectives that a participant can have on the program.
In the name of her supposed happiness, Beatriz spent the entire program reducing the experience of those who were there. At parties, she didn’t let anyone enjoy it. Whoever complained was jealous. Not even the artists had peace.
During confinement, she disobeyed so many production rules and orders that it is unbelievable that she was not considered to leave not only by the public, but especially by the participants.
Beatriz’s latest was wanting to make clothes with fruit peels. Even though she was warned by Tadeu Schmidt himself, and by many people, that it was not allowed, she disrespected it. She managed to create a new version of the saying ‘if you want to appear, put a watermelon on your head’. A banana in your bikini is enough.
As anyone who reads this space already knows, I had the opportunity to enter the BBB 24 house at the end of March. During the period that I observed the participants from inside, as in a human zoo, what alarmed me most was Beatriz’s behavior.
As soon as she entered the party that I saw up close, Beatriz desperately looked for a camera. Soon after, she looked for another camera to appear more.
Soon after, he tried making faces and made them during the party’s action. She scared me because her every look and every step were rehearsed, like a character in a soap opera. And clearly, the other participants had already noticed this persona without a shred of truth created by Beatriz.
Even with all this, Beatriz was the most sought after participant by brands with Globo for advertising campaigns once the reality show ended. She currently has 4.5 million followers on Instagram.
Recently, an acquaintance posted on her Instagram story that she loved seeing Beatriz. “I like seeing happy people on BBB!”, she wrote. For me, it’s symptomatic. Of course, seeing people annoying and complaining is bad anywhere. But it’s the public’s fault for Beatriz going this far.
Beatriz is not a person. She is a persona. She is a participant without an ounce of depth. It’s not her happiness that she irritates. It’s her bizarre ability to have managed to build a character and maintain it for almost 100 days.
The country enjoyed being made a fool of. A shame, Brazil from Brazil.
