Tico Santa Cruz leaves the networks for mental health and Digão rebuts: ‘Opportunist’

Another chapter of the fight between the rockers Tico Santa Cruz, from Detonautas, and Digão, from Raimundos, is in place. Recently, Tico announced that he would leave some social networks because of his mental health, but Digão called him an opportunist and said that he does everything to appear.

Last Thursday (17), on Twitter, Tico made his last post. “[Por] A mental health issue, I’m withdrawing from this network. I thank the followers for understanding. See you later,” he posted.

Days later, Tico used Instagram to reinforce his stance against the hate he receives both on Twitter and on Facebook and further explained his decision.

“I looked for a doctor -as we all should- and I’m in the therapeutic process. I’m going to keep this network with light content and my work so that those who like me can know about professional activities. But I’m not surprised at all by the immeasurable number of attacks, cruelty, encouragement of suicide and crimes committed by people who call themselves ‘good citizens'”, he posted.

“There comes a time when, either you protect yourself to recover or you walk without brakes towards the abyss. First of all, my health and that of the people I love, because without that I am not able to fight for anything”, said Santa Cruz.

However, in an ironic post on social media, Tico’s former disaffected, Raimundos Digão rocker, made fun of the situation by writing: “Good morning to those who work and don’t need to leave the social network due to mental health problems”.

This fact angered Tico, who in a now-deleted publication wrote that the speech was about “evil and scoundrels”.

Hours later, the fight only escalated. Digao decided to write about Tico’s behavior and called him envious, opportunistic and profiteer. And also remembered old problems with him.

“Did you revolt, Titica? Back when you joined the ‘pe-ass’ to lynch me you didn’t care about my mental health. And you talked shit, tasted your own poison, didn’t portray yourself as a good opportunist who sells even her own mother for media,” he wrote.

“I don’t bow to envious, liar, profiteer and opportunist. I made fun of the fact that he used a serious thing to distract from the immense idiocy he spoke, he didn’t retract and was lynched. This guy is capable of anything to get media attention, including paying for the poor thing”, amended Digão, also recognizing that he regrets having once opened the doors of his house to the now disaffected.

OLD FIGHT

This whole fight started for political reasons. Tico, who has always positioned himself more to the left, has already discussed Digão’s positioning more to the right. In 2021, in a live, Tico spoke of Digão saying that “reactionary rocker doesn’t match”. “What I have to say to you, Digão, is the following. First of all, you are a soft ass ass ****”, said the member of Detonautas.

In defending fellow singer PeLu, ex-Restart, who had also been on a collision course for the political position of DigãoTico amended: “He [Digão] he doesn’t have the guts to publicly assume that he supports this fascist government, because that would cause a problem and he can’t act very well with criticism”, said the member of Detonautas.

In the video, Santa Cruz continued to explain what led him to talk about the Raimundos musician. “Reactionary rocker doesn’t match. Rocker that joins authoritarian regime, totalitarian regime, denialist regime, regime that supports early treatment without any kind of care, that promotes agglomeration, that doesn’t wear a mask, you identify with this shit, but you don’t have courage to say”, he concluded.

This fact seems not to have left Digão’s mind, who now counters Tico and recalls the “lynching” he had already suffered.
