Deutsche Telekom CEO returns to Greece: Meeting with Mitsotakis on investment opportunities in Greece

Following the December announcements for the investment of more than 3 billion euros by OTE over a period of five years (2022-2027), the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, met at noon at the Maximos Palace with the CEO of Deutsche Telekom, Tim Höttges.

The meeting focused on the investment opportunities opening up in Greece in the telecommunications sector in the context of the government’s broader plan for the continuous acceleration of the country’s digital transformation.

From the government side, the meeting was attended by the Minister of State and Digital Governance, Kyriakos Pierrakakis, the Deputy Minister of Digital Governance, Thodoris Libanios and the Head of the Finance Office of the Prime Minister, Alexis Patelis.

On behalf of the company also took part, the head of Deutsche Telekom for Europe, Dominique Leroy and the President and CEO of OTE Group, Michalis Tsamaz.

The meeting took place about two months after the Prime Minister’s previous communication with executives of Deutsche Telekom and OTE at the Maximos Palace (December 15, 2021), during which the investments of over 3 billion euros in five years were announced, the largest that have made by a private company in the field of telecommunications which will contribute to the digital transformation of the country.
