BBB 24: With a new name, Binn celebrates the search for shows and an increase in fees after reality

Life isn’t that calm, but it’s been very favorable for Jefferson Cristian dos Santos Lima since leaving BBB 24. Now known as MC Binn (he dropped Laden from his stage name), the funk artist says he’s making a show after another and — what’s better — earning more since leaving the Globo reality show. “The fee has gone up,” he celebrates. “Good thing (laughs).”

While pedaling an exercise bike minutes before a performance (the interview took place via video call), the now ex-BBB member is excited about the repercussions of his participation in the attraction. And to think that the fear of being rejected came to haunt him for a while inside the house.

“I’m getting used to everything. At the time I released ‘Tá Tranquilo, Tá Favorável’ [em 2017], I became well known, but nothing compares to this moment”, he compares. “People really know my mother and my aunt! They now also know my way of being and my heart.”

In fact, Binn says that this was precisely one of the reasons he accepted the invitation to be one of the members of the Camarote group for the 24th edition of the program. “I wanted to demystify this heavy thing that involves funk. They think we are maloqueiros, arrogant, brawlers, tattooed… Anyway. I’ve always fought for people to see the good side of funkistas”, says the singer. “Prejudice against funk will always exist, but we have to keep fighting [contra ele].”

The singer is about to release a new album. In this work, he will also venture into other musical styles. It will have funk, of course, but also trap, hip hop and even piseiro, including some features with rhythm artists. “Something cool, different and the public will be surprised”, he predicts, excitedly. He also believes it is the right time to launch an international career: “I had been thinking about it for a while and the time has come.”

Regarding BBB, he is sure that the champion will be Davi and says that he speaks every day with his friend Lucas Buda, who went through a contentious divorce while he was confined. “I want to know how he is and I already knew that he took his things with his [ex-mulher] Camila and is with her family. I really hope for his happiness and that of his ex-wife too. We have to wish people well.”

He also talked about the situation with Giovanna, the nutritionist from Minas Gerais with whom he exchanged kisses on the reality show. “We’re talking,” he comments. “We talked a few times about dating, but we have our feet on the ground to understand that we live far away and that everything is still very new. We just left and we are missing our family, fulfilling schedules… Anyway. Only time will tell what what’s going to happen.”
