Multi-awarded producer, sought-after DJ, creator of a whole wave, “his” music genre, electro swing, which has been sweeping the charts for the last decade, mainly thanks to his own hits, such as Booty Swing and All Night. Recommendations are definitely unnecessary for him Parov Stelarespecially for the Greek public who have shown how much they love him (and the feelings are mutual judging by his visits to our country) – and yet it’s hard not to be impressed by the Austrian artist’s CV, which seems to have the “ touch of Midas” whether it is his own tracks, or arrangements/remixes of already loved hits (no easy challenge).

On the occasion of his much-anticipated headline appearance at this year’s Release Athens (with Telenova and Jain at his side) on June 15 at Nero Square, we are trying to prepare (psychologically and dance-wise) with 10 of our favorite remixes (or arrangements) of the artist, who manages the incredible: to make his versions even better than the original pieces!

  • 10 Der Kommissar – Falco (Parov Stelar Remix)

Even if you think the name Falco doesn’t mean anything to you, there’s no way you haven’t heard Rock Me Amadeus. Falco may have struggled to carve out an international career, but in Parov’s native Austria, he made an impact, especially with the special “Der Kommissar”, a track that became even more successful when it was covered in English by the British After the Fire. However, Parov wanted to honor the influential Austrian artist, with a remix that brings the cult 80s song into the “today” and manages to make it sound even cooler.

  • Vienna Calling – Falco (Parov Stelar Remix)

Parov Stelar once again showed his love for Falco, after taking part in Sony Music’s tribute, ‘Falco 60’, marking the 60th anniversary of the birth of the legendary Austrian star, who passed away prematurely before 26 years, at the age of 40. Once again, our favorite DJ has paid a most fitting and fresh tribute, with a delightful remix of Falco’s smash hit ‘Vienna Calling’.

  • Keep on Dancing, feat. Marvin Gaye

Keep on Dancing is proof that you can take even the most iconic tracks, give them new life, as long as you respect them – and that’s something Parov knows how to do very well. For this awesome cover, he sampled Marvin Gaye’s epic ‘Got to give it up’, a track that didn’t get the same treatment from Robin Thicke and the controversial ‘Blurred Lines’, but that’s okay, luckily there are artists like Parov Stellar.

  • Kid Loco – Confessions (Parov Stelar Remix)

From Kid Loco’s ‘Party Animals & Disco Biscuits’, one of the best trip hop/down tempo tracks of the last decade, Parov Stelar chose the most nostalgic track and with his remix managed to make it even more nostalgic, even more melodic – and thanks to him we discovered a little gem that we might not have heard about otherwise.
