He will succeed Edson Ishikawa, who has been CEO of Volvo Car Hellas since last November. Mr. Ishikawa will take over as CEO of Volvo Car Portugal, while retaining the position of Head of International Markets for Europe.

In her new position, Ms. Jovic brings her significant experience in leadership positions to the Volvo Cars organization in Europe and Asia. This decision underscores the confidence in her ability to successfully fulfill her new duties and further strengthen Volvo Cars’ leadership team.

“My belief is that the key to developing strong leadership is to provide a range of different experiences to people, both locally and centrally,” says Björn Annwall, Chief Commercial Officer and Deputy CEO. “By offering our team members opportunities to take on roles that require different skills, we not only enrich their knowledge and experience, but also foster a more dynamic and adaptive leadership culture within Volvo Cars. Our commitment to nurturing talent in this way is essential to ensuring continued success and innovation in our industry.”

Regarding this, Arek Nowinski, Head of Volvo Cars Europe, emphasized: “I am convinced that Edson and Jovana will be able to use all their experience to achieve our goals for growth in the European region, as and to lead and inspire our teams in Portugal and Greece respectively.”

“I am really excited about taking on my new duties,” said Jovana Jovic. “I look forward to working closely with the Official Volvo Network so that, together with the experienced Volvo Car Hellas team and based on last year’s already excellent results, we can further improve the company’s position in the Greek market.”
