“There are no words to explain the blessing of finding your soul mate,” the actress wrote in her post
The 57-year-old actress, Salma Hayek, “uploaded” photos on her personal Instagram account from her wedding to businessman François-Henri Pinault. It is the 15 year anniversary since they were “united” with the bonds of marriage.
“There are no words to explain the blessing of finding your soul mate. To all of you who have found it, never take it for granted. For all of you who haven’t found it, never put it down”the famous actress wrote in her post.
The couple’s wedding took place in Venice. Shortly before the wedding, the couple hosted a dinner at Punta della Dogana. The guests wore gold and black masks.
The groom’s family had bought the building in 2007 and paid for its restoration. In June 2009 it reopened to the public as an art museum, with temporary exhibits from the Pinault collection.
The ceremony took place in Opera La Fenice, one of the oldest in Europe. Also participating were the groom’s children from his first marriage and the couple’s daughter. After the ceremony, the guests sang the “Over The Rainbow”.
Among those attending the wedding were Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Charlize Theron, Lily Cole, Ashley Judd, Woody Harrelson, Anna Wintour, Bono, David Blaine, Jacques Chirac and other celebrities.
The reception was held at Palazzo Grassi, an important location for the couple as they first met in 2006 at a gala there. The Pinault family bought the building in May 2005. The couple got engaged in 2007 and their daughter was born in September of that year.

The couple had previously married in Paris’ 6th arrondissement town hall on Valentine’s Day that year in a small ceremony with family and were planning a bigger celebration a few months later. Today they celebrate both anniversaries.
In an interview with “Glamour” last year, the actress said she had no idea she was getting married that day until her family got involved.
“They just took me to the town hall. My parents, my brother… I had a phobia about marriage.”
