Journalist Daiana Garbin, 40, took to Instagram to thank everyone who has been concerned about the health of her daughter, Lua, 1, as a result of her relationship with Tiago Leifert, 41.

The girl is treated for an eye cancer called retinoblastoma that affects the region of the retina. “I want to thank you for your concern with the Moon. She is great. We had another chemotherapy session on Saturday (19) and our girl is very strong, she is a little bull”, commented Daiana

“She is recovering very well, she is already running around the house, laughing. So, thank you very much for your concern, for your affection and for your prayers”, amended the journalist.

In January, Tiago Leifert and Daiana Garbin opened up about their daughter’s illness. In a video posted on social media, they said that close to the girl’s first birthday, in October 2021, they discovered the disease after Tiago noticed a white light in the girl’s eye. He also noticed that she was looking at him a little sideways and preferred to take her to a professional.

“It is a very rare cancer that happens in very young children. Thus, they cannot express that they can’t see anymore. The Moon has always seen everything and we never imagined that something was preventing her vision”, Daiana began.

“My dream was that months earlier I would have access to a video of a couple telling what was happening to their child. If we manage to get a couple to take a child before we did, mission accomplished”, highlighted Leifert. .

He said that it hasn’t been easy and that this was the reason he left The Voice Brasil (Globo) early. And he explained better how Lua’s vision is.

“She sees well in her left eye, the right one needs more care, we don’t know if we are at the beginning, middle or end of the treatment”, he said. He does the alert.

“If you notice irregular movement in the eyeball, if you notice that the child looks at you sideways, look for an ophthalmologist immediately. Even if you have never seen anything in the child, go to the ophthalmologist in the first year of life”, he highlighted.
