Ryan Gosling confessed that he makes career choices with his family in mind, admitting that he won’t direct another film while his children are “so young”.

The Hollywood star filmed the fantasy thriller “Lost River” in 2014but has not directed since.

Explaining why, Gosling told The Sunday Times that being a parent to the two children he has with actress wife Eva Mendes, Esmeralda, nine, and Amanda, seven, is a priority.

“Directing takes a lot of time. And, right now, my kids are so young — we really need to be home 24 hours a day right now,” she said.

“Right now my choices are more about what’s great for my family and not about my experience making a movie” he added.

The actor also said he cannot commit to stressful shooting schedules. Ryan Gosling recently starred in the movies “Barbie” and “The Fall Guy”.
