The Municipal Gallery of Kallithea “Sofia Laskaridou” (Laskaridou 120 and Filaretou, Kallithea) presents the solo exhibition of the painter Athanasios Michos “HOME Figura X” which is presented from May 8 to 15, 2024.

The opening of the exhibition takes place on Thursday, May 9 at 6 pm.

The works presented in the exhibition belong to a collection of works entitled “HOME figura X” and have as their subject the human body, the movement and dynamics that can be seen by the viewer, works influenced by the currents of impressionism and cubism, with the main characteristics being bright colors, large forms and the visual capture of the immediate impression caused by a painting subject.

A few words about the artist Athanasios Michos:

He was born in 1966 and is a self-taught painter. Art for him has long been a conscious choice of expression and lifestyle, a journey of colors and themes, a counterweight to the society of negative emotions, uncertainty and all sorts of “clichés”.
He has 11 group and 3 individual exhibitions to his credit.
