How to choose your wedding hairstyle
If your wedding day is approaching, it would be good to be fully informed about the most dreamy bridal hairstyles so that you have all the inspiration locked. Apart from the fact that the wedding is probably the only day a bride wants to look absolutely beautiful, it will also probably be the most memorable moment of her life. The ceremony and reception may go by quickly, but the photos last a lifetime. So it goes without saying that you’ll want to feel and look stunning on the day itself, but also every time you look back on that day.
Most importantly, the right style should match you and your personality. But, it should also complement your wedding dress beautifully and match perfectly with the mood you want to create for your day – whether that’s relaxed, glamorous, modern or romantic.
The key is to capture a moment in time, but also create a look that is ageless and will stand the test of time in photographs for years to come. That’s why choosing the perfect wedding hairstyle is worth a little planning.
While your outfit can be stunning, the finishing touches like your makeup and hair can lift everything up and pull the look together. Choosing one hairstyle over another can completely change the mood of your bridal look. Plus, on such a personal day, hair is another way to add your own special touch.
If you need a little help, no stress, Color Wow’s top celebrity hairstylist and creative director, Dom Seeleyshares his opinion on the styles and details to consider.

What are the tips for choosing the style?
Start by celebrating your personal style and the looks you like on a regular basis. The style you choose should represent you and the style of the wedding. Whether you want something more sophisticated, rock or beach, this will play a role in choosing a hairstyle that suits you. “To get the most out of your wedding hairstyle, don’t stray too far from what you’re comfortable with in your everyday life. I see too many brides straying so far from how they usually do their hair that when they look back at footage from that day, the hair or makeup doesn’t really reflect themselves.”says Dom.

Add some sparkle, but don’t go overboard with the style
Some of the best wedding hairstyles keep things simple (and close to your usual, everyday style), but with a little extra sparkle. “Weddings have become much more fashionable over the years and so has hair and makeup. You can make it more bridal or detailed by adding accessories to the hair or catching the face by doing a half up style” Dom says. “The same goes if you have your hair up and you never wear it down, then by all means put it up, but do it in a way that’s more fashionable. Leave behind the old-fashioned barrel curls that look “crispy” and structured. It kept an element of softness so they don’t look dated too quickly.”
