Present at the first party in the garden of Buckingham Palace with invited citizens from various sectors of public life is on Wednesday afternoon King Charles, in another event in the context of his partial return to his public duties.

Taking on more duties follows a three-month absence after being diagnosed with cancer and starting treatment.

Traditionally, May begins with a series of parties in the Palace garden, where citizens have the opportunity to meet members of the royal family.

Charles, 75, is joined by almost all working members of the royal family except for Prince William, the Crown Prince of Wales, who was on duty at Windsor, and his wife Kate Middleton, who is away from her duties as she undergoes cancer treatment.

Almost at the same time as the party at the Palace, an event for ten years of the Invictus Games is being held at St. Paul’s Cathedral, which is attended by the founder of the Invictus Games, Harry, Duke of Sussex.

However, as a spokesman for Prince Harry made clear on Tuesday, a meeting between the king and his son will not be possible due to the former’s busy schedule.

On Wednesday night, the king will have his regular weekly meeting with the prime minister and in addition the regular meeting with his special council.
