Alexandre Frota went to Rio Grande do Sul to help rescue the stranded population due to heavy rains in the state. Aboard a jet-ski, the former federal deputy rescued domestic animals and residents of the city of Canoas, one of the most affected by the floods.
“I’m here in Canoas. We’ve now rescued three animals, three dogs, as well as the owner and her father,” Frota said in an Instagram post last Wednesday (8). “Look how it is here. Rio Grande do Sul is not alone, come on!”, he added.
Amanda Martins, owner of the rescued animals, thanked the actor for his help in the comments: “Thank you very much. I will never forget it.” In her profile, she shared that her boat was broken when Frota arrived to help her, rescuing her dogs and two other friends.
The actor also shared photos of the food donations he took to Rio Grande do Sul. Frota also said that he contacted Governor Eduardo Leite (PSDB) and made himself available. He also posted a video driving from Cotia, the city where he lives, in the metropolitan region of São Paulo, to Rio Grande do Sul.
On the social network X (formerly Twitter), internet users are surprised by the former deputy’s action. “And Alexandre Frota who is in Canoas, in Rio Grande do Sul, rescuing people and animals by jetski. Brazil is a box of surprises and most of the time the surprises are good”, wrote user Aluisio Olievira. He check out more reactions.
