Nemo from Switzerland, a big favorite since the beginning of the contest, is also the winner of the 68th Eurovision contest, collecting 591 points.

The 24-year-old non-binary Swiss singer succeeded with his song “The Code”, which combined hip hop and opera, to steal impressions in combination with his subversive appearance on stage and impressive effects.

“The Code” he performed is about, as he says, his own journey that began when he realized that I am neither male nor female. Nemo Mettler announced last November in an article in the SonntagsZeitung that he identifies as a non-binary person.

Born on August 3, 1999 in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland, Nemo is a rapper, singer and musician. In addition, he plays the violin, piano and drums. Nemo is currently signed to Swiss label Bakara Music. In the second season of ‘Masked Singer Switzerland’, Nemo was revealed as always after finishing in 5th place.

Since 2015, Nemo has been active in the music industry and has released several Extended Plays (EPs) and singles. His first EP ‘Clownfisch’ was released on June 23, 2015 and peaked at number 95 on the Swiss music charts. Nemo’s highest charting single to date is their 2017 song ‘Du’, which peaked at number four and went platinum on the Swiss charts.

Nemo has also won several awards. In 2017, he received the Energy Music Award for Best Swiss Artist and the Prix Walo Award for New Artist. Nemo currently has five Swiss Music Awards to his name: one in 2017 for Best Talent and four in 2018 for Best Male Solo Act, Best Debut Act, Best Live Act and Best Hit for the song ” Du”.
