After rejecting the song about Candomblé, Anitta tells her followers: ‘The good ones stay’

After losing more than 200 thousand followers when announcing the video for “Aceita”, a song that talks about religions, Anitta opened a live on Instagram to comment on what happened. This Monday (13), the singer condemned fans who practiced religious intolerance and received support from many internet users in the comments.

Anitta regretted what happened, but said she is at a stage where she doesn’t care so much about the numbers. “When I have a strong opinion about something, I end up cutting off a large group that accompanies me. But the good ones stay, the ones you truly want stay by your side. At this moment in my life I’m choosing quality over quantity”, she said.

“If that means that instead of doing a show for 20,000 people, I’m going to do it for 5,000, that’s fine, I’ll do it happily,” he said. “Today I value being at peace within myself and having time to practice my spirituality”, he explained, saying that he is a “fan of religions” and is a fan of all types of beliefs.

“If one day you see me in the Catholic Church, in the Evangelical Church, in Umbanda, in Shamanism, you will also see why I like it. Even though I’m a Macumbeira, I’m welcome, I’m going,” she said. The singer also recalled that she was introduced to Candomblé by her father and Catholicism by her mother.

The video for “Aceita” aims to show several religions coexisting, according to the singer. “There are Christians, Judaism, Umbanda, fortune tellers. Everything we do to be better, to embrace others. Religion is there for us to take care of our spirituality.” The production will be released next Wednesday (15) and is part of the album “Funk Generation”.
