An important distinction for the new director and Greek cinema at the 77th Cannes Film Festival
The film was selected from 2,263 entries from young creators from around the world and competed among 17 others, winning the second prize in a tie with “Out the Window Through the Wall” directed by Asia Segalovic.
“The Chaos She Left Behind”, starring Marina Siotou and Yiannis Tsortekis, was filmed as part of the diploma thesis of Nikos Kolioukos and the thesis of Alexandra Riba at the Cinema Department of the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. It started its festival career from the Academic Department of the Drama Festival, where it won the Best Director and Best Actress Awards for Marina Siotou.
