The third episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars 9 aired this Friday (24), with Anitta as a guest judge.
The Brazilian was on the bench alongside presenter RuPaul and permanent judges Michelle Visage and Carson Kressley.
The official profile of the reality show on Instagram announced the Brazilian’s participation as follows: “From Rio to Hollywood! The super star Anitta joins our judges in a new episode.”
In her participation in the program, Anitta took the opportunity to praise Brazilian drag artists. She praised Pabllo Vittar and Gloria Groove and said that, in Brazil, the singers are very successful and recognized by the general public.
“In Brazil, the public is obsessed with Gloria Groove, Pabllo Vittar. My mother and my family are fans. They are ‘mainstream’ singers. Pabllo was the first drag singer who was highlighted. We have songs together”, said Anitta.
“When I invite them to sing with me at Carnival, I even stop performing and start drooling. They are so good”, praised the singer.
On social media, Pabllo Vittar and Gloria Groove thanked them for the compliments. “Anitta, it’s so beautiful to see your love for us and our community, I’ll never get tired of being grateful! I love you,” wrote Pabllo on Instagram.
“What a moment! Anitta mentioning my name and our Brazilian drag culture within the program that helped change my life. Only we know how much we fight daily to see our art breaking barriers. And what an honor for us to live in the same generation than you, my superstar sister Pabllo Vittar. Vai Brasil”, celebrated Gloria.
