Country music singer Milionário, a duo with José Rico, had to undergo surgery this Friday (24), to have a permanent pacemaker inserted after suffering an Ischemic Stroke last Sunday. Doctors opted for the procedure because of a cardiac arrhythmia diagnosed while carrying out tests.
According to the medical report, the surgery was uneventful and the artist is stable and should be transferred back to his room soon. The note reinforces that the singer “is well, willing, communicative, without the presence of motor or sensory deficits and eating normally.”
Millionaire, who is 84 years old, has been hospitalized since Monday (20), at the Hospital Beneficência Portuguesa de São José do Rio Preto, in the interior of São Paulo. This past Thursday (23), the singer was discharged from the Intensive Care Unit and went to his room, and according to the doctors, “he will continue with treatment and rehabilitation with a multidisciplinary health team”.
