Internet users believe that the reason for the criticism was a publication made by Defante on X. The subject behind the exchange of offenses is the PEC (Proposed Amendment to the Constitution) which transfers marine land in urban areas of the Union to states and municipalities or to private owners. Environmentalists point out that the text gives scope for the creation of private beaches.
