Preta Gil, 49, was discharged from Hospital Clínica São Vicente, in the south of Rio, this Monday morning (10). The singer was hospitalized for three days due to a urinary infection caused by a kidney stone. “Hi, guys. I’m home, I was discharged. I’m very happy to be home, obviously, everything is better at home,” she told her followers.
Despite being discharged, Preta will have to rest for a few days on medical advice. She also promised that she will make a publication to explain everything that happened in the last week. “I’m going to make a video explaining everything to you: what I have, what I did in the hospital and what I’m going to do in the next few days to take care of myself”, she explained.
The singer took the opportunity to announce that her friend Gominho will present TVZ, at Multishow, this Monday (10) in her place.
Due to her health problem, Preta canceled all the shows she was going to do this weekend and has not yet said anything related to resuming her schedule. In December 2023, Preta completed her treatment for bowel cancer. She had part of her intestinal tract surgically reconstructed.
At the time, the singer informed that she would spend the next five years undergoing medical monitoring, “as is common for cancer patients like me”, she said.
