Kate Winslet revealed that the famous kiss scene with Leonardo DiCaprio in “Titanic” it was a nightmare to shoot. “The kiss wasn’t the best”says the 48-year-old actress in an interview with “Vanity Fair”.

The actress stated that the scene was difficult to shoot because the director, James Cameron, wanted the perfect lighting and it was also shot in a part of the set that was hard to reach, so the hair and makeup team couldn’t be there with them.

“In between takes, they were basically redoing our makeup. We kept doing this kiss and I look especially pale in the face, to the point where I look like I’ve swallowed a chocolate bar after every shot, because Leonardo’s make-up was ‘falling’ on me.”

Leonardo DiCaprio faced the same problem during filming. However, the scene wasn’t all bad, as the actress admitted that her co-star was quite romantic. “It’s no wonder every young girl in the world wanted a kiss from Leonardo DiCaprio,” Kate Winslet said with humor.

In another interview with Variety, Kate dismissed what she called “silly” rumors of a rift between her and James Cameron, after speaking about the difficulties of filming in previous interviews.
