Actor Juliano Cazarré, 43, spoke out on social media about bill 1904/2024, which seeks to place a 22-week ceiling on any abortion procedure in cases of rape in Brazil.
“Every abortion is the murder of an innocent person. Even in the most extreme cases, such as rape, the murder of the child does not erase the crime, it will not make that trauma go away and, most of the time, it is just more a trauma in the life of an already traumatized woman,” he said in a video on Instagram stories.
“After 22 weeks of gestation, the fetus already has the possibility of living outside the uterus, that is, of being born. Anyone who does not want to raise the child can give the child up for adoption. The queue of people wanting to adopt a baby is much longer than the offer of children to be adopted”, added the actor.
Cazarré and his wife, Letícia, are parents of six children. One of the children, little Maria Guilhermina, was born two years ago with a rare congenital heart disease and was hospitalized for months. The discovery of the pregnancy of their youngest, Estevão, was a blow for the couple, as Letícia had been diagnosed with burnout.
In recent days, celebrities have spoken out about the Anti-Abortion PL for Rape. Cássia Kis recorded a video in favor of the bill, while other names, such as actresses Alinne Moraes, Paola Oliveira and Luana Piovani and singer Daniela Mercury, took a stand against the project.
