The Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis took part in the proceedings of the first day of the International Conference on Peace in Ukraine, co-organized by Ukraine and Switzerland in the resort of Bergenstock, attended by about 90 heads of state, government and organizations, including almost all EU leaders.

The prime minister participated in the first plenary meeting of the Conference and then had a 4-4 meeting with the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, ahead of the EPP Leaders’ Summit that will take place on Monday in Brussels, a few hours before the informal dinner of the of EU leaders, where the results of the European elections and the persons who will assume the important European positions will be discussed.

Before dinner, the leaders gathered for the family photo, with the Prime Minister taking the seat between US Vice President Kamala Harris, who is attending the Conference in place of President Biden, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and back by the two co-organizers, President Zelenskyy of Ukraine and President of Switzerland Viola Amherd.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis is scheduled to be appointed to the plenary session tomorrow, while he will also intervene in the working group on the topic of food security.
