Billie Eilish broke another record! The Grammy- and Oscar-winning singer is the third artist to surpass 100 million monthly listeners on Spotify, the music streaming service confirmed to Billboard last week. And she did it with just 82 songs in her music catalog.
Eilish trails The Weeknd, who has 107 million monthly listeners, and Taylor Swift, who has 102 million. However, both artists have more than twice as many songs on Spotify as Billie Eilish.
Ailis, 22, is the youngest artist to reach 100 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
“Spotify has been a part of Billy’s story from the beginning. Since ‘Ocean Eyes,’ she has been steadily growing her fan base around the world,” said Jeremy Ehrlich, Spotify’s global head of music. “What she and brother-partner Phineas have achieved since 2016 is quite remarkable… and all by the age of 22” he added.
Billie Eilish released her third album Hit Me Hard and Soft last month and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart.
